Manchester Water Taxis

Manchester has long been a city to pave the way with the wealth of innovations, economy and ideas of society it has produced over the decades. From the city that split the atom, created the programmable computer and produced countless musical movements, Manchester is a city to be admired and replicated; not just in the UK but worldwide. Manchester is the “original modern” city, defining the urban, industrial age. Manchester’s growth has always been driven by the innovation of its transport links since the opening of the world’s first artificial waterway, the Bridgewater Canal in 1761 to the Manchester Ship Canal in 1894 then the world’s largest navigation canal. Many of the region’s most important economic assets are found on the banks of Manchester's canals, with your help our water taxis (WAXIS) will create a new sustainable connection between the tens of thousands of people who live near these canals and the cities commercial, business and residential districts. As well as providing transport all year round for the regions commuters Manchester Water Taxis has strategically positioned our WAXI stops close to the cities top tourist attractions targeting the 2.4 million annual visitors. Since our launch visitors and commuters have been able to experience Manchester by water taxi (waxi). Amazing Experience on the Waters

5/ 5

The Manchester water taxk is the best and fastest tour experience I’ve enjoyed. It was fun and real quick. We were able to cover more grounds than we would have on foot or bus. It was thrilling and I loved it.
