YHA Hostel Oxford is located beside the Oxford train station, on Botley Road, close to the River Thames, and is just a couple of minutes into the heart of the city. It is a purpose built hostel with 203 beds.
The modern reception has a café bar offering refreshments after a long journey and is a great place to relax and meet fellow travelers, as well as catching up with work or e-mails or watching sporting events on the TV. You are not restricted to take your drinks out into the back garden on a sunny day!
YHA also welcomes cyclists with a good-sized locked cycle shed and plenty of space on the back patio to fine-tune their bike. The hostel is an ideal and a great place to stay in for backpackers, families, individuals and groups looking to explore the unique history of the city.

Towels and toiletries - Hand soap is provided next to all sinks. Towels are not supplied as standard but can be rented or purchased from reception. Bedding is supplied in all rooms.
Parking - There are no parking facilities at this hostel, although there are several city centre car parks nearby. Alternatively cheaper and less congested car parks are available outside of the centre with Park & Ride services (Seacourt is the closest to the hostel).

YHA Oxford is a three storey hostel with a lounge, quiet room, restaurant, self-catering kitchen, luggage and laundry rooms on the ground floor. There are three accessible rooms with 3, 4 and 6 beds located on the ground floor.
Most rooms are situated on the 1st and 2nd floors (unfortunately we do not have a lift). Room sizes range from 1 to 6 beds with a number of twin and double rooms available, plus plenty of small rooms that can be booked for private use by families and groups of friends. There are 203 beds in total.
Please note, this is a city centre location, therefore there is the possibility of slight noise disruption.
YHA Oxford serves a hot and cold buffet breakfast to give you a great start to the morning - we serve from 7:30am until 9:30am, and right up to 11am on weekends. Breakfast is now available at 10% off - ONLY WHEN PRE-BOOKED. Simply add it to your basket at check out to save!
We can provide a packed lunch including a freshly prepared sandwich, a delicious cake, cereal bar, a bottle of mineral water, a packet of crisps and a piece of fresh fruit. Eat in the hostel or take your packed lunch with you to enjoy during your day of exploring.
There is a café bar at reception serving hot and cold drinks and sandwiches open 24 hours a day. Our Metro restaurant is open every day from 5pm to 9pm, offering a range of ideas. With bespoke pizzas, tapas and a build-your-own burger option, plus a range of sides and desserts, there’s plenty to choose from. We're open to the public so pop in for a bite!

One free children's meal is available per adult main meal from the main menu when purchased at the same time. This offer is not available on breakfast.
We serve beers, ciders, wines and spirits from 11am until 1am at night - so join us for a drink and make some new friends. Or warm up with some coffee (and cake!) or a delicious chilled fruit smoothie on our patio outside.
Our fully-equipped kitchen has four fridges, one freezer, three ovens, a microwave, a toaster and a kettle. We've got all the pots, pans, cutlery and crockery you'd have at home too.
If the weather is fine, you can enjoy your meal outside as we have seating there as well as in the restaurant.

How to get here:
By car: follow the Oxford ring road towards the west of the city. Take the A420 Botley turn off, then follow signs to train station/city centre. YHA Oxford is located just before the railway bridge on your left. Please note there is no parking on site, but staff can direct you to the city Park-and-Ride, five minutes away.
By coach: The nearest coach station is in the centre of Oxford. Book your coach tickets here.
By train: YHA Oxford is as close to Oxford train station as you can possibly get! Simply hop off the train and we're literally a stone's throw away.
From 30th July to 14th August 2016 the railway will be closed between Oxford and Didcot Parkway for Network Rail to carry out flood prevention work in the Hinksey area.
In addition, from 30th July to 7th August 2016 the railway will also be closed between Oxford and Banbury for re-signalling work.
Finally, between 3rd and 7th August 2016 the railway will be closed between Oxford and Charlbury for bridge repair work to take place.
