I sometimes get my hair done in Italy, France or England. I generally get a shampoo, blowout and hot iron, but sometimes a haircut. Does "no tipping" apply to hair salons? Barber shops? What are the standards, please?

There is no tipping in Europe.

Europe is a big place, each one with a different culture. Yes, we don't like having them changed.

I pay £50 for a shampoo, cut, blow dry and style in the City in London. I give my fabulous stylist £55-60. He is amazing and I get my hair done quarterly.

I go to Great Clips with $6.99 coupons and pay $3 tip! Once a year need it or naught!
