Hey guys, so I'm planning to bring my mom to Shanghai for 5 days mid March. Could you please suggest the following, but keeping in mind budget constraints and I have a senior citizen with me.
Day 1: Arrival early morning but check in at 2pm. Where to go for a rest after an overnight fight? Will walk around the bund and have an easy day.
Day 2. Free walking tour around city cents including the Yu Yuan Garden, the People's Square, French Concession, towers, temples.
Day 3: WaterTown. This is a bit tricky. Tours seem to be extremely pricey. Can anyone share the most convenient and economical way to go to the Zhujiajiao Watertown?
Day 4: I'd like to do something less touristy, like going to their markets. Or anything that may interest a senior citizen? At night I'd like to slot in the river cruise.
Day 5: My flight is midnight so I have a full day. Any suggestions?
I prefer FREE attractions considering I'm on very tight budget. No Disneyland and no trips out of Shanghai.
Thanks in advance for sharing. Oh and how's the weather mid March? Should we bring think winter jackets?
