Road Trip Through Arizona

Hi all! So I'm heading to Tucson, Arizona for work in January . As it happens, I don't have work the Friday before this trip, so I was thinking of taking a flight to Arizona Thursday night/Friday morning so that I could enjoy the weekend. Does anyone have any recommendations on must-see places near Tucson? I was also thinking that I could take a mini road trip through Arizona (if three days is even enough time for that). I can fly into any airport, but I just have to be in Tucson by Sunday early evening. If anyone has any route suggestions or other ideas for a mini solo trip, I'd love to hear them! It would be nice to make the most of my time in Arizona.

Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum is a must see in Tucson. You'll learn so much about the local area/plants/wildlife. Plus the drive there is pretty stunning. Depending on what your interests are, there's a good craft beer scene, and there are some nice restaurants too. Lots of hiking and places to go rock climbing.

The museum sounds right up my alley! I've seen that recommendation from multiple people so I will definitely check that out. I'm also very into craft beer; what are a few breweries that are worth checking out?And do you have some favorite hikes in the area? I was hoping to do some of that as well. Maybe some rock climbing too if its nothing too crazy.

For breweries: Crooked Tooth, Dragoon and Borderlands are all pretty good. Tap & Bottle is a really great bottle shop with a good draft list too. As for hikes, if you're going to the Desert Museum there are a lot of trailheads nearby. Golden gate trail is a good one. Mt. I Lemmon and Sabino canyon also have some beautiful hikes. I don't know much about Rock climbing in the area. There are a couple of gyms that might be able to point you in the right direction. Cheers!
